It’s a dreary day here. Well, actually it’s been dreary for a few days, and it looks like it’s going to stay that way a little longer. I don’t mind though. I do love an invigorating sunny day, but I’m one of those rare strokes who finds a cool, rainy feel more invigorating. There’s a unique blend of energy and comfort to be felt from a rainy day, unless you suffer from arthritis.
(Is there is anything more satisfying and comforting than getting to sleep in with the sound of rain pattering on the roof? Not that it happens very often, but I can at least fantasize about it.)
Of course I have a list of things I need to get done yet today, but right now I am snuggling my sleeping little one with a warm belly that just consumed a barley/spelt scone and coffee treat. The day simply called for it.
I don’t know about you, but I see a rainy day as black and white. I do love my colors. Colors show warmth and light and pizzazz, but black and white is classic. With the color and noise gone, all that’s left is raw emotion. It’s communicates a simple message, unadulterated by distraction.
